                Document Description
            
            The project consists of the adoption of the Elverta Specific Plan and related land use entitlements for the 1,734+/- acre Elverta Specific Plan area, located within the Rio Linda/Elverta Community Plan of Sacramento County. The proposed Specific Plan includes 894 acres of urban residential uses and 552 acres of agricultural-residential uses with a total holding capacity of up to 4,950 units; 10 acres of commercial uses; 20 acres of school uses; 20 acres of park uses; 19 acres (former landfill site) for potential uses as an equestrian center; and 219 acres to be used for drainageways, detention facilities, trails, powerline corridor and major roads.
