Conversion of 5.16 acres of timberland to a commercial vineyard. A Timberland Conversion Permit and Napa County Erosion Control Plan are required for the Project Site. A Timber Harvest Plan is being prepared concurrently for the harvest of the same 5.16 acres. Vineyard blocks will include wine grapes, internal farm avenues, and space for vineyard maintenance operations; the net area of the vineyard will be approximately 3.46 acres. Groundwater will be used for irrigation. Post-project sediment erosion conditions and peak hydrological runoff are projected to be below pre-project conditions.
